Roger Federer can add another feather to his already crowded cap
after topping our poll for the biggest heartthrob on the men’s tour.
Fans voted with their hearts as
the cool Swiss maestro picked up nearly 36 per cent of the votes to narrowly
edge out his great Spanish rival Rafael Nadal’s 33.74 per cent.
Nadal finished just 374 votes
behind, with Davis Cup teammate Feliciano Lopez coming in third with 17.5 per
cent of the votes.
Federer has the chance to
continue his winning streak in the australianopen.com’s next poll, when we ask
who your dream mixed doubles partner would be. It can be a player from the
men’s or women’s tours, with Federer, Nadal, Gael Monfils, Julia Goerges, Maria
Sharapova and Ana Ivanovic already shortlisted.
